Description
The longitudinal seam automatic welding machine is mainly used for welding thin plate longitudinal seams. It adopts a cantilever mechanism and is mainly composed of a frame, clamping mechanism, water-cooled mandrel, backing pad, shaft end bracket, traveling trolley, cross slide, wire feeding mechanism, and gun clamping device. The clamping mechanism uses compressed air to inflate a bladder, generating a maximum linear pressure of 2.5 kg/cm after the crack is formed. The left and right pressing distances are adjustable to accommodate different weld widths. The mandrel is designed with different diameters based on the length of the weld to ensure sufficient rigidity. The water-cooled backing pad of the mandrel is in close contact with the workpiece, and the pad is equipped with grooves and evenly distributed protective gas holes to ensure the formation and cooling of the backside of the weld. The vertical height of the mandrel is adjustable to suit welding on different plate surfaces. A traveling trolley is installed on the upper part of the frame beam, which moves linearly along the beam through a guide rail and drive mechanism, with speed controlled by a frequency converter.
